Two Custom Reports to get you in Accounting’s Good Books

For years, many of you have been using PM Worx to track billable resident work orders. After our WorxWire Spring 2009 article, Kyle’s Corner: Resident Chargeback Mini-Series, many more of you adopted the practice. Our article provided a step-by-step tutorial on everything you need to know about tracking chargebacks. This tutorial incorporated several relevant Watch, Listen, & Learn videos, including one that shows an advanced option for exporting billing data to Excel for your accounting department.

Everyone agreed that this was a great first step, and we received a very good response from the article. At that stage, however, the export data required some ‘massaging’ to organize data columns to match the billing system’s requirements. Several of you asked, ”Can you create an export that is tailored for my billing system?” The answer is, “Yes we can, and yes we have.” So, if you use HealthMedx or PointClickCare, these data exports are designed for your billing system.

We’ve created two custom reports, one for each billing system. We can set them up in your PM Worx system, and you can run these reports monthly to create a compatible file format for exporting chargeback data to your HealthMedx or PointClickCare billing system. Once that’s done, simply run the report and send the compatible file to your accounting or billings department, so they can import the data easily. By avoiding double entries, you’ll save so much time and you’ll reduce the chances of missed billings and data entry errors.
