How Asset Management Just Got Easier
This month we’ll be proud to release an all-new PM Worx depreciation feature that allows PM Worx users who have our Capital Planning module to export a depreciation spreadsheet. This may be something that your CFO has already requested. If not, now would be a good time to score a few points by making the suggestion (we don’t mind if you take all the credit!).
Typically, it’s nearly impossible to meet both the CFO’s asset management needs and those of the front line, people who use and maintain those assets. CFOs grumble that nobody tells them when an asset is retired (taken out of service), when it’s coming due for replacement, and sometimes even when new assets are purchased. The good news is that you can now use PM Worx to solve these problems.
PM Worx simply uses your standard fixed asset data to output a fabulous Excel spreadsheet showing all the necessary depreciation information – this year’s depreciation, accumulated depreciation, original and remaining value. It even highlights assets that are fully depreciated this year.
Updating your Capital Planning module with free add-on provides:
-
Flexible Year End dates
-
A Batch Update tool to modify depreciation rate for multiple assets at once
-
The ability to group exported detail by asset category or depreciation category
-
A separate sheet exported for assets fully depreciated this year
Use the simple Depreciation Report Action (right) to select the assets to export, specify the end date for depreciation (typically your year-end or some other period end date), and choose how the output should be grouped. It’s that simple!
The Excel export generates instantly, showing all the detail your CFO will want to see.

Give us a call to see a demo and to find out how easy it is to add this new feature! And send your CFO on an online tour of the PM Worx depreciation Excel export as well as a copy of this Sample Depreciation Spreadsheet.
