Mobile Worx Watch and Learn Tutorial
Mobile Worx, our handheld companion to PM Worx, continues to dramatically increase
efficiency in the field as momentum for equipping techs with technology builds faster every day. Key reasons communities invest in Mobile Worx include:
Techs with no computer background, and even those without English as a first language, take only a few hours to get really comfortable with Mobile Worx. We’re pleased to add five new video clips to our Watch-and-Learn series, to help when your techs need a refresher or you have a new staff member to get up to speed. To view these, and other Watch-and -Learn clips, log into our Members Only site.
1. Mobile Worx: Overview Getting going with Mobile Worx starts with this general overview. In it, we’ll guide you through how to launch Mobile Worx on your mobile device, introduce the different “pages” of information and navigation, and show how to see your work orders and process them. View our Watch-and-Learn clip now.
2. Mobile Worx: Entering Labor Time One of the most important business benefits of using PM Worx is time tracking —answering questions such as, “Where does all our staff time go?” or, knowing time is money, “How much time do we spend on different types of work?” You might be evaluating whether or not you need an additional staff member and/or the types of capabilities new staff need to have. You might be making decisions about what to outsource and what to bring in-house. For all of these important decisions, you’ll want the best possible data on labor time expenditure. This Watch-and-Learn clip shows you how to quickly enter time spent per job. 3. Mobile Worx: Completing a W/O One really key advantage of using Mobile Worx is that there’s never a backlog of ‘paperwork’ to close out a work order. And, unless the completed jobs are closed out in the system, the QA Measures screen that helps you keep tabs on what’s done and what’s not isn’t very helpful. With Mobile Worx, jobs are marked complete right in the field by the tech doing the job. There’s no delay and no chasing techs to return their paperwork! Learn how easily work orders are marked as complete. 4. Mobile Worx: Adding a new work order in the field Maintenance directors, managers, and supervisors love the ability to add work orders directly into Mobile Worx. This feature is ideal for doing inspections or punch lists in new construction, because you can just add each item as you see it. Do away with writing out a list, retyping it into Word, or even entering the newly found tasks into desktop PM Worx. When you’re done your inspection, you’re done the paperwork too. This Watch-and-Learn uses inspections to show you how to enter new work orders directly into Mobile Worx. 5. Mobile Worx: Adding a new work request in the field When you’re in the field, traveling from one job to another, Mobile Worx is great for adding a request right when you notice something that needs doing. You don’t want to forget, and there’s no need to interrupt reception or the maintenance assistant to notify them. Take 30 seconds to put the work request right into Mobile Worx and you don’t need to give it another thought. Like the requests entered through the Web Request capability, requests originating from Mobile Worx pop up on the maintenance department’s computer. See how in this Watch-and-Learn clip.
