Wedding Bells at Windmill!

Happy Holidays and good cheer for the New Year.

As I write to you from my living room in Toronto it really is “beginning to look a lot like Christmas” as the song goes. We’re catching the storm coming up from the U.S Midwest, dropping heavy snow, freezing rain and ice pellets. A truly delightful gift for the season! At least the retailers are happy as we all get into the spirit.

Our biggest news is that our very own Joshua got married. Wedding Bells rang for Joshua Malbogat a few weeks ago on November 19. His thoroughly modern wedding was broadcast live via webcam so that the couple’s friends and loved ones who couldn’t attend in person could be with them virtually. Congrats to Josh and his bride Julie. And, he’s still fiddling with his wedding ring like new husbands everywhere.

Not much can top that news but we’re also pretty excited about the new website put up in September and our plans for Phase Two. If you’ve not looked at www.pmworx.com in the last few months, check it out. It’s dynamite (if I do say so myself). The best parts I think are your success stories that we’ve captured and published. They really show what a difference great maintenance management makes to the whole community. In the upcoming months, we’ll be putting up a “members only” site where we’ll publish stories, experiences, general resources and even invite you to “blog.”

Blogging is essentially people networking via the internet. Based on feedback from our recent, highly successful User Conference, we heard that it’s the networking, sharing and collaboration that participants value so dearly. Watch for announcements.

Speaking of the User Conference results: I couldn’t be happier. We had a great crowd, great discussions and useful learning. It’s really energizing and encouraging especially since the main feedback we received is that everybody wants two days next time rather than just one day like this year.   Read some of the direct quotes from people who spoke with us after the conference. And, mark your calendars now and plan to attend next September.

Kyle’s Corner deals with the many factors that can affect PM Worx performance and what you can do about it.

My article, Passionate about In-Progress Reporting explains one of most useful and yet little understood “In-progress” report filters.   Now I ask you, isn’t that just the most exciting topic you can imagine? It just doesn’t get better than this, does it? Read it for good health. It’s like Buckley’s Mixture.

On that note, please remember to share your ideas with us about this issue of the newsletter, the articles, the opinions expressed and especially the new format of the newsletter.

With that, let me speak for the whole Windmill team when I say what a pleasure and honor it is to have as many wonderful people to work with as we have in all of you. To you and yours, we wish you a very happy and safe holiday season and a stellar New Year.

Happy Holidays!
